The Culinary Department of the Dallas Woman’s Forum formed in 2011, just completed its first successful year. A Wine Around the World wine tasting on November 6, 2011 was our first event. A beautifully decorated Alexander Mansion welcomed guests who enjoyed enticing appetizers paired with wines from four countries. All guests received an engraved wine glass. A raffle and wine pull provided fun and helped to raise funds for the restoration of the Mansion. The second culinary event of the year was the Holiday Cafe for the annual Holiday Home Tour. The Cafe served more people and raised more funds for the Mansion than in the past.
The Culinary Department will once again run the Holiday Cafe for the annual Holiday Home Tour, December 6 – 9, 2012. A delicious lunch of soup, gourmet salad, dessert, assorted savory baked goods, and beverage will offer patrons a respite during the home tour, bake sale, and boutique. The lunch is $12 per person and reservations are required.
